JS PROM

In the Philippines prom is popular in high schools. Two proms take place in High school: one where seniors cater to juniors and another where juniors cater to seniors.Proms everywhere are formal parties for high school students. As well as being a social affair, they are a coming of age celebration--often the first formal party that teens have a part of planning--good training for later social life.The main purpose of this special event is to "pass the torch" from the outgoing senior class to the the rising juniors.

• A Promenade is:
  A leisurely walk, especially one taken in a public place as a social activity.
  A public place for such walking.
  A formal dance; a ball.
  A march of all the guests at the opening of a ball.
  A square-dance figure in which couples march counterclockwise in a circle.
